David Evennett MP

Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, celebrated World Book Day yesterday (2 March) by starting to read Margaret Thatcher: The Authorized Biography Volume Two by Charles Moore.

World Book Day has been held annually for the past twenty years, and takes place on the first Thursday of March. The main aim of the event is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to have a book of their own.

Mr Evennett commented: “World Book Day is a fantastic opportunity to get children even more excited about reading. Books give education, entertainment and escapism, and I hope every child in Bexleyheath and Crayford will go out this weekend to a bookshop or library and read a book.”
