Barnehurst Methodist Church held a Diversity Day in their Church hall on Saturday afternoon of 22nd July to celebrate the food, music and dance of a wide variety of local community groups. Apart from the formal speeches and entertainment the church members and community leaders were able to socialise over refreshments at the event and admire traditional cakes, dress, flags and musical instruments.
Rt Hon David Evennett MP and his wife Marilyn were among the invited guests who attended and Mr Evennett made a short address highlighting the vibrancy of diversity and the successes of local community groups across Bexley Borough.
