Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, attended an event in Parliament on Wednesday 1 February to show his support for World Cancer Day on Saturday 4 February.
Mr Evennett met with a number of representatives from seven of the UK’s leading cancer charities to discuss the campaigns they are running, the importance of raising awareness, and to hear personal stories of those affected by the disease.
Mr Evennett commented: “I am delighted to be here today to show my support for this very important initiative. World Cancer Day provides an opportunity to get involved and remember loved ones, celebrate those who have overcome the disease, and rally in support of those currently having treatment”.
