David Evennett MP

Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, has welcomed the news that Crayford should get its Post Office back later this year. A six week local public consultation has begun today, and the Post Office are seeking views on the suitability of the proposed new location in Crayford Library.

Mr Evennett and local Councillors, Cllr Geraldene Lucia-Hennis, Cllr Christine Bishop, and Cllr John Davey, have campaigned hard to get to the Post Office back in Crayford.

Following the announcement, Mr Evennett commented: “the town and its residents need and value a Post Office, and the last year has been difficult without one. I am delighted that the process of re-establishing the Post Office in Crayford has begun and I look forward to the opening in the autumn”.
