David Evennett MP

Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, joined the Bank of England Chief Cashier, Victoria Cleland, in Parliament on 19th July to help publicise the new £10 note. Mr. Evennett welcomed the new plastic £10 note, which has new security features and will be much more difficult to counterfeit. It will be issued on 14th September and will be cleaner, stronger and safer.

Mr Evennett commented “I am delighted that Jane Austen who is one of our great English authors is celebrated on the new note and particularly as we commemorate the 200th anniversary of her death.”
