Mayor, Cllr. Sybil Camsey, and David Evennett MP on the first part of the Walk.

BCU Life Skills Centre held their 23rd Annual Sponsored Churches Walk on Saturday morning 23 April. The walk began at St John’s Church, Welling, and the route went through Belvedere and Erith.

Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, has been involved with the charity since the 1980s and attended the start of the walk with Bexley Mayor, Cllr Sybil Camsey.

He then delivered a speech praising the work of the organisation and its volunteers. Mr Evennett commented “I am a big supporter of the charity. They offer vitally important assistance to vulnerable members of our society, and I am delighted to be able to start off their annual fundraising walk again.”
