Rt Hon David Evennett, MP and Government Minister, Archdeacon, Dr Paul Wright, and Vicar, Rev Trevor Wyatt, launched the Christchurch Bexleyheath “Building our Future” Fundraising Campaign at a dinner held in the Boys Brigade Centre on Saturday evening (7 May).
The Church is looking at options for the redevelopment of the site behind the Church building in Bexleyheath Broadway, which at present consists of the church halls. Various options are being considered, but all will require substantial capital. Mr Evennett and the Bishop of Rochester are Patrons of the Fundraising Campaign.
Over 130 Church members and their guests enjoyed a three course dinner, a raffle and an auction hosted by the Archdeacon. Mr Evennett gave a short speech after the dinner. He highlighted the importance of the Parish Church to the Bexleyheath community and welcomed the enthusiasm of the Fundraising Team.
