Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, was appointed to the House of Commons Procedure Select Committee earlier this week.
The Procedure Committee considers the practice and procedure of the House in the conduct of public business. The Chair of the Committee is Charles Walker OBE MP.
The Committee is currently holding an inquiry into the provisions being made for scrutiny of delegated legislation in the EU (Withdrawal) Bill.
Mr Evennett commented: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this Committee and look forward to working with my fellow MPs on a cross-Party basis to look at various aspects of Commons procedures”.
