It was lovely to participate in this year's Annual Civic Parade which took place on Sunday 29th June 2025.I have been attending the event since June 2022 to represent Bexleyheath ward residents with my ward colleagues.
The annual event is about welcoming in the new Mayor. Our current Mayor, Councillor Christine Caterrall is the 61st Mayor of Bexley.
The event features youth groups, veterans and other local organisations taking part in the parade led by a marching band and the Mayor
The Mayor takes the salute at the Civic Offices and the parade marches down to Christ Church where Rev Trevor Wyatt leads the service
This year the Mayor is supporting Bexley Moorings and Age UK
Bexley Moorings offers care, guidance and a listening ear to our young people whilst Age UK provides vital services and companionship for our older residents
One of the things that makes Bexley special is that the community comes together to celebrate such events. Bexley truly is a great place to live and work and I'm honoured to represent Bexleyheath ward residents
