Bexleyheath and Crayford Conservatives have elected a new executive officer team to deliver a plan to build on the success of the recent local elections where Bexley residents elected 29 councillors across the borough and kept control of the Council for a 6 consecutive election.
The following were elected to head up a plan that will deliver regular outreach to residents and to ensure Conservative candidates are elected at all levels over the coming years:
President - Baroness O’Neill of Bexley OBE
Chairman - John Fuller
Deputy Chairman Fundraising - Howard Jackson
Deputy Chairman Political - Rags Sandhu
Treasurer - Janet Power
Assistants to the Deputy Chairman fundraising/political Janice Ward-Wilson & Andrew Credington
Diane Marriner will continue as Ladies Chairman and Cllr Chris Taylor as Councillor Representative.
Leader of the Council Cllr David Leaf delivered a barn storming speech about the recent borough election results and how the Conservatives had beat expectations and this was down to local residents wanting to keep a good local council that delivers for them. Baroness O’Neill provided an update on her work in the Lords and wins secured to modify key legislation.
Tributes were made to the retiring officers and in particular departing Chairman John Davey.
