Janice has lived in Crook Log Ward for over 30 years and together with her husband, raised 2 sons, attends church locally, is a regular at her local gym and has an allotment in the ward.
She has held various posts within Bexley and Greenwich boroughs, acquiring a range of experience and knowledge, to bring to her role as Crook Log Ward Councillor. During this time, she was instrumental in forging new service provision, meeting identified needs and has always been keen to make a difference in people’s lives and the things that matter most to individuals and communities.
Janice was elected in May 2022 and since then has represented residents on a variety of issues, including access to services and planning concerns and is highly privileged to be Deputy Mayor of the London Borough of Bexley, for this current municipal year.
She is Chairman of the Adult Social Care & Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee; serves on the Children’s Services & Education Overview & Scrutiny Committee; serves on the Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education (SACRE); is Vice Chairman on the SEND Sub Group; Vice Chairman of Licensing; serves on the South East London Joint Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee; and is the Council’s representative on the Council of Governors of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
